Canada Virtuous Women (CAVIWO)
Adeline Ijang is a humanitarian, visionary leader, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for women’s empowerment whose life and work are anchored in faith, compassion, and service. With a professional background in financial services, quality coaching, entrepreneurship, fashion retail, and event planning, she brings a wealth of experience to her mission of empowering women, strengthening families, and transforming communities. She holds a Master’s degree in Technological and Socio-Economic Planning and is a published co-author of the anthology Beyond the Horizon.
As the Founder and visionary leader of Canada Virtuous Women (CAVIWO), Adeline has dedicated herself to creating opportunities for women to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and economically. Established in Ottawa in 2016 as a small prayer fellowship for Christian women, CAVIWO has evolved into an organization with national and international reach, guided by biblical principles and a commitment to holistic empowerment. Its work focuses on equipping women and their families with the knowledge, skills, resources, and support needed to build sustainable livelihoods and lead purposeful lives, with particular attention to widows, single parents, newcomers, and women experiencing vulnerability.
A Heart for Humanitarian Service
At the heart of Adeline’s leadership is a profound belief that every woman deserves dignity, safety, opportunity, and the freedom to realize her full potential. Her commitment to service extends beyond public leadership into personal acts of compassion, mentorship, and advocacy. She has supported women facing domestic violence, gender-based abuse, family difficulties, and other personal crises, offering guidance, encouragement, and connections to appropriate support services. Her approach reflects a deep understanding that empowerment is not merely about providing assistance; it is about restoring hope, strengthening confidence, and helping women move towards lasting independence.
Through CAVIWO, Adeline champions initiatives that address the interconnected challenges facing women and their families. These include entrepreneurship and employment training, financial literacy, leadership development, community education, violence prevention and awareness, and humanitarian outreach. Her vision is to help women move beyond vulnerability towards resilience, economic independence, and meaningful participation in their communities.
Building Women, Strengthening Families, Transforming Communities
Under Adeline’s leadership, CAVIWO has expanded its reach through conferences, workshops, empowerment sessions, community initiatives, and international outreach. By bringing women together across cultural, generational, and socioeconomic boundaries, these initiatives create spaces for learning, fellowship, collaboration, and personal development.
Adeline believes that when women are equipped with practical skills, supported through difficult circumstances, and given opportunities to lead, the benefits extend far beyond the individual. Families become stronger, communities become more resilient, and future generations gain greater opportunities to thrive. This belief continues to shape her leadership and CAVIWO’s commitment to sustainable, community-centred empowerment.

Adeline’s dedication to leadership, humanitarian service, and women’s empowerment has received recognition from several organizations. In 2023, she received recognition as a Top 10 Producer for her achievements in financial services and a Leadership Award from CAVIWO International in recognition of her leadership and contribution to the organization’s growth.

That same year, she was honoured with the Social Impact Trailblazer Award from HFHG Women Lead, recognizing her commitment to community empowerment and women’s well-being. In 2025, she received the Women of Inspiration Award from Ottawa Distinguished Women for her contributions to women’s empowerment and community service.
These recognitions reflect her professional accomplishments and humanitarian contributions, while reinforcing her determination to continue serving women and families with integrity, compassion, and purpose.
A Legacy of Faith, Service, and Empowerment
Adeline Ijang embodies servant leadership, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to helping others flourish. Her leadership is grounded in the conviction that women are not simply recipients of support, but powerful agents of change capable of shaping families, institutions, and societies.
Through CAVIWO, she continues to champion a future in which women are spiritually strengthened, socially supported, economically empowered, and equipped to lead with confidence and purpose. Her greatest measure of success lies not solely in the awards she has received, but in the hope restored, the lives encouraged, and the opportunities created through her service.
Her enduring vision is simple yet powerful: to empower women to rise with dignity, lead with purpose, strengthen their families, and transform their communities one woman, one family, and one community at a time.
