How our hybrid children's program connects kids across the world on Saturday mornings while building real relationships in our local neighbourhood, through faith, storytelling, and play.

At Canada Virtuous Women (CAVIWO), we believe that connection knows no boundaries. Whether through a screen or face to face in our local neighbourhood, our mission remains the same: to create a safe, joyful, and faith-filled environment for children to learn and grow. We are proud to operate on a hybrid model that allows us to reach children right here in our community while welcoming friends from across the globe.
Distance is not a barrier to friendship at CAVIWO. Every Saturday morning, our virtual doors open to children joining us from different parts of the world. These online gatherings are more than video calls; they are vibrant spaces where culture, faith, and fun meet. For many of the children who take part, it is a genuine opportunity to interact with peers from different backgrounds and to build a sense of global community from a young age.
While we value our digital connections, our heart also beats for our local community. Our in-person activities are rooted in the neighbourhood, giving children a tangible place to come together, play, and build lasting relationships with one another. The mix of virtual and in-person programming lets us meet children and families where they are, and extend the warmth of community beyond what any single setting could offer on its own.
Whether we meet online or in person, our programs are designed to engage both the heart and the mind. Through Bible studies, we explore faith with age-appropriate lessons that invite questions and support spiritual growth. Through storytelling and drawing, we spark imagination and creativity, sharing stories and craft work that teach valuable lessons along the way. And through games and family-friendly movie watching, we make room to relax, laugh, and talk together, sometimes using tools like Kahoot to bring a little friendly fun to the morning.
None of this happens by accident. It is the quiet, consistent work of volunteers and community members who show up week after week to make these gatherings possible. We are grateful for every parent who trusts us with their child's Saturday morning, and for every supporter who helps keep these programs free and accessible to families near and far.
Whether you are nearby or on the other side of the world, there is a place for your child at CAVIWO. Join us this Saturday morning online, or stop by our next community event. Every child is welcome, and every family belongs.
